Family Peer Advocate Training
A Family Peer Advocate supports families navigating the mental health system. Drawing on their experiences as caregivers, they offer guidance, resources, and emotional support to help other families advocate for their children’s needs. They work to bridge gaps between families and service providers, ensuring that care is effective, culturally responsive, and tailored to each family’s unique situation. Their role includes facilitating access to resources, offering practical advice, and empowering families to participate actively in their child’s mental health journey.
